Caitlin Brown is Senior Counsel at Kozacky Weitzel McGrath, P.C., where she focuses her practice on commercial litigation, representing businesses and individuals in complex disputes in both state and federal courts. She regularly handles matters from pre‑suit investigation and motion practice through discovery, dispositive motions, and trial.
Caitlin’s litigation practice focuses on commercial and contract disputes, insurance coverage matters, and transportation‑related litigation, with an emphasis on maritime and admiralty law. She has experience handling cases involving cargo loss and damage, maritime contracts, and vessel‑related disputes, and regularly navigates the intersection of federal maritime law and broader commercial litigation principles.
In addition to her core litigation work, Caitlin counsels clients on issues related to corporate governance and commercial transactions. Her experience in these areas enhances her litigation practice by allowing her to understand the business objectives underlying disputes and to provide practical, strategic guidance both in and outside the courtroom.
Prior to joining KWM, Caitlin practiced at another boutique Chicago law firm, where she represented clients in a wide range of civil and commercial matters.
